How To Make Transparent PET Film?
Polymerization
plain polyester film is made by polymerization of Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) and Monoethylene Glycol (MEG) under specific temperatures and pressure to form PET pellets.
Extrusion and dyeing
The PET pellets are then melted down and pushed through a dyeing machine to obtain a flat sheet.
Orientation
The next step involves stretching the clear polyester film sheets to align the molecules to make it stronger and more stable. Two methods of orientation are Tentering and Bubble blowing.
Thermal Finishing
