Extruded finned tubes are formed from a bimetallic tube consisting of a base tube and an aluminum muff tube. The fins are formed on a cold rolling process from the wall thickness of the aluminum muff tube. Extruded fins gives very good corrosion protection to the base tube, as the base tube is not visible to the atmosphere in between the fins.

Tubos con aletas extruidas se forman a partir de un tubo bimetálico que consta de un tubo de base y un tubo de manguito de aluminio. Las aletas se forman en un proceso de laminación en frío del espesor de pared del tubo de manguito de aluminio. Aletas extruidas da muy buena protección contra la corrosión para el tubo de la base, como el tubo de la base no es visible a la atmósfera en entre las aletas.
